Thank you so much for your guidance and support. I continue to refer to the book on a regular basis. Things are going pretty well, definitely into a new chapter, with lots of promise and just a bit of loneliness, but I am a happier parent, more engaged and present than I have ever been, so that makes it tough to feel lonely for long!
The interviews in my book are with real moms and dads in diverse circumstances including high conflict, collaboration, substance abuse, and special needs children. The mothers and fathers make choices, sometimes struggle, and often grow. Their stories offer insights into wise decision-making, as well as practical strategies that strengthen families.
While pain exists in most stories, there is also hope. Co-parents often feel that they have become more confident and compassionate, and parent better than before. Their growth and their childrens’ are the silver lining in the dark pain of divorce.
